just about every night before dinner we try to pray together.  just to give thanks for the day and that kind of thing.  keyzia is no stranger to prayer.  we've been praying with her for a long long time!  when we pray with her before bed we sing a little song then give thanks for things that have happened for the day.  she fills in the thanks usually herself.  sometimes she thanks God for things like "winnie the pooh" or "veggie tales".

last night at dinner, while ja was giving thanks for the day, she interjected with, "and thankyou for timeouts."

hmmm...  wasn't expecting that one!

while we were eating dinner tonight, keyzia thought it would be neat to dip her giant goldfish in her apple juice.  i, however, was not so amused by it...

momma:  keyzia, stop that.  it's not funny.

*pause*

keyzia:  is it funny now, momma?

*ja and i trying incredibly hard not to laugh*

keyzia:  how 'bout now?  is it funny now?

can i just say here that it is incredibly difficult to discipline someone when you think they are just about the funniest thing on earth?

keyzia:  i want to be a doctor when i grow up.  or a hamster.  or a dinosaur.  or a nemo.  or, i want to fly my kite!

hmmm...  maybe we've been reading it's not easy being big a bit too often...

keyzia:  i've never seen hunter before.

momma:  yes you have, you just haven't played with him in a little while.

keyzia:  hmmm.  ((pause))  hunter is very very big.  but sierra is very little.

 

keyzia:  it's disgusting in here!

momma:  disgusting in where?

keyzia:  in here!  in my nose!

after a trip to the bathroom....

keyzia:  hey, momma, my poo is like pine cones!

hmmm...  i never would have thought that myself, but now that she mentions it... 

keyzia after her nap today, "my skin hurts, momma.  i think it's because of my body."
