keyzia:  ummm.  no.  i love daddy.  you're momma.

hmmm....  enough said, i guess.

every morning keyzia and i have exactly the same konversation.  i don't know if this truly happens every night, or if she just likes the way that she can predict what i'm going to say.  it's funny though, if i deviate at all from the "correct responses", then she'll prompt me with what i should be saying!

momma:  good morning!  did you have a good sleep?

keyzia:  yah!  i had a bad dream.

momma:  you did?  what was your bad dream about?

keyzia:  a shadow.

momma:  a shadow?  what kind of a shadow?

keyzia:  a blue shadow.  ((occasionally this varies, sometimes it's a daddy shadow, or a big shadow))

momma:  a blue shadow?  what was the blue shadow doing?

keyzia:  it was off and on.

she really has an imagination now.  it's been so amazing to watch her get to this point...  from just holding and chewing on her little people, to actually playing house with them.  she also feeds her babies and puts them to bed...  covering them up and making sure they have a stuffed animal to cuddle.  she even breastfeeds them occasionally!  the downside to the imagination is that she gets scared of things that aren't there.  if the light in the bathroom is off when we get back there, she says something like, "there's monsters in our house!"  when we turn the light on, "there's no monsters in our house!"

veggie tales has actually been a big help here.  sometimes we have to sing, "God is bigger than the... boogey man."  i think it helps her to know that someone other than mom and dad is watching out for her!

an early morning konversation with keyzia...

keyzia:  i have my gina, momma.

momma:  that's right, you have a vagina.

keyzia:  what do you have, momma?

momma:  i have a vagina too.

keyzia:  you have a gina too?  i have a gina too!

momma:  that's right!

keyzia:  daddy doesn't have a gina.

momma:  he doesn't?  what does daddy have?

keyzia:  daddy has a penis.  and ephraim.  i don't have a penis.  hey, caillou's on!!

i'm glad that she cleared all that up for me.
