I read East of Eden years ago when i was in highschool and i loved it then. but, after recently re-reading it, i felt that i got so much more... found so much more, i almost wished that i was still in school and had to write an essay about it!

the wisdom of old samuel hamilton contrasted with the evil of cathy seems to make one seem more 'good' and the other more 'evil'.
